At Circolektra, we strive to collect old and used electrical materials in a controlled manner, enabling us to collect and sort them centrally and achieve the highest degree of circularity. Every year, this involves tens of thousands of products, with countless components that contain not only valuable raw materials but also various plastics.

Specialised processors recycle, among other things, very old and black bakelite fuse boxes, while manufacturers reuse plastic cover plates from switches and sockets as granulate for the production of new switches. Remanufacturing is an integral part of our process for components such as automatic switches and earth leakage circuit breakers containing valuable metals.

Circolektra goes beyond mere remanufacturing. Our goal is to build a circular product range, in which we will eventually be able to offer not only new but also refurbished components through our partners. These naturally comply with the latest regulations and are covered by the manufacturers’ warranty.

In parallel with this, manufacturers are emphasising redesign, whereby products are designed in such a way that they can be reused more quickly and easily in the future, either as complete products, as parts or as raw materials.
